Ive read many times that if a place of employment asks you for money to work for them, then they’re bogus. Type in their name in a search and add “Reviews” or “complaints” to it and see if you get anything.
You tell me where you can buy a business for free Mcdonalds,BK,DQ,Wendys all take money to get started I’m involved in a great business that is producing a unheard of income.
Alex, the number one way to test it is: “If it looks fishy, it probably is”.
The number one “thing” that a business strives to achieve is to provide value for it’s customers. Several basic ways that companies make or create value for their customers are like when you have a store, you are buying in bulk (taking risk) and then selling in smaller quantities to the end consumer. When you own a business in the service industry such as a carpet cleaning business, you are creating value by providing the customer great pride in their clean carpets when their friends and relatives come over.
Thus, before you look at any investment idea or potential business see if you can determine how that business creates value for it’s customers. Then you can determine what those customers would pay for that value. Once you’ve asked these two basic questions, it will be easy to weed out the Garbage from the business’s with real potential.
Good Luck!!
If a job is work from home and it asks for money than no it is not legit. Never pay for a job. However if you are starting a business online to work from home. Then some investment could be required.
To find out if it is legit you can check the BBB for online business. Do some research and ask plenty of questions. There are however ways to get started for free in a online business. It just depends on your interest. And with any business it takes hard work and dedication. There is no way to get rich quick unless you win the lottery. I started my online business with no out of pocket.
If you want to work from your computer at home, you are probably going to have to do it as a business owner, rather than as an employee. There are no online work-at-home “jobs”.
When you apply for a job offline, in the bricks and mortar world, do you have to pay anything? Of course not. It should be the same in the online world. If you are asked to pay any money, at best, it is a business opportunity, but more likely it is just a scam.
Be very careful that you don’t get scammed.
I do affiliate marketing online. I’ve been doing it for a year and I’m getting ready to quit my regular job, as I am now making over $10k per month. It takes dedicated work, at minimum a small amount of initial working capital, decent organizational skills, and persistence, but you can make a living at it if you stick with it.
But that is a business.
If you want something easy, with no investment, you could probably make $500 to $1000 per month getting paid by companies to write postings on blogs about their products. That’s about the only legitimate way that I know of to earn money online without any investment.
Good luck to you.
Use common sense and business knowledge;
- has the company been in business for 15 year or more?
- Is this an INC 500 company?
- Have revenues continued to increase over the years?
- Who is running the company?
- AVOID companies that use ‘catch the wave’ or ‘ground floor opportunity’ slogans
- Try the products before you decide to do it as a business
- Does the business model make sense?
- Are these products that I would buy for the rest of my life?
- AVOID companies with huge investments of inventory.
- etc, etc, etc.
Chris
